Ingredients
Tuna Patties
- 3 cans tuna packed in water
- 3 green onions
- ½ cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- ½ lemon juiced
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
Sauce
- ¼ cup mayo
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ lemon juiced
- 1½ Tbsp dill
Assembly
- 4 hamburger buns
- Butter or margarine for spreading
- 4 slices American cheese
- Hamburger pickles
- Lettuce, tomato and onion (optional)
Directions
- Mix tuna patty ingredients until just combined.
- Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- Stir together sauce ingredients and refrigerate.
- Divide tuna mixture into 4 equal patties the right shape for the buns.
- Heat skillet to medium.
- Spread butter or margarine on buns and toast in skillet about 2 minutes.
- Add cooking oil to skillet and let oil heat up.
- Add patties to skillet and cook 4 minutes, flip and cook 3 minutes or until both sides are browned.
- Place cheese on bottom bun, add patty, top with sauce, pickles and any other vegetables.
